# Comments

The built-in commenting feature of Ghost enables members to engage in discussions, encouraging them to participate directly on your website and become active contributors in the community.

### Activate comments

* Native comments can be activated by navigating to the **"Access"** settings within the Ghost Admin.
* Select the **"Commenting"** level to either **"All members"** or **"Paid-members only"**.
* Click **"Save"** to apply the changes and enable native comments on your platform.
